Why Did Hager Fox Start Heat For The Heroes?

A hero is defined as someone of distinguished courage or ability, admired for their great deeds and noble qualities. While many associate heroes with fictional superheroes from Marvel or DC, the real-life heroes among us don’t wear capes or possess superhuman powers. Instead, they show immense courage while risking everything to protect our freedoms, our nation, and our values.

And the sad truth is, not all of these heroes return home to a hero’s welcome or a secure financial situation. After their service, many face significant challenges when readjusting to civilian life, sometimes finding themselves in financial hardship years later. With the rising cost of living, even basic necessities like food or heating their homes can become difficult to afford.

The heroes we’re talking about are the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. These extraordinary individuals dedicated their lives to ensuring our safety and freedom, allowing us to sleep peacefully at night. At Hager Fox, we believe it is our duty to show them the gratitude they deserve, which is why we started Heat For The Heroes – to give back.

Community Commitment: Integrity, Innovation, & Excellence.

Hager Fox Heating and Air Conditioning takes pride in the commitment we have to serve our community. We’ve built a world-class culture that is continuously evolving and has built a tradition of helping others. By leading with integrity, serving with excellence, and continuously innovating to serve our community better, we know that we’re making a difference.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce our latest program to help serve some members of our community better: Heat For The Heroes. This program is designed to bring our community together to improve the lives of our servicemen and women by providing them with a new heating system. Your involvement is crucial to the success of this new initiative, and we deeply appreciate your support.

Here’s How It Works

From now until November 1st, we’re calling on our community to nominate a deserving hero—someone who has served or is currently serving and deserves recognition, especially if they’ve fallen on hard times and need new heating equipment. Nominations can be submitted using the form below. We ask that you share why you believe this individual deserves to be the recipient of the Heat For Heroes program.

From November 1st to the 7th, a committee will review all nominations and select one deserving nominee. The individuals who submitted the nomination, along with the nominee, will be contacted to inform them that their nominee has been chosen as the Heat For Heroes recipient. Then, on November 11th, 2025 (Veterans Day), the selected hero will receive a brand-new Lennox furnace with same-day installation—absolutely free of charge, courtesy of Hager Fox Heating and Air Conditioning.
